Baseball Recap: Space Coast Takes a Loss

Space Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 12-0 to the Heritage Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent loss being a 14-2 defeat back in March.

Space Coast's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Heritage, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Space Coast will host Palm Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vipers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Heritage, they will challenge Titusville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Terriers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
