There's no place like home for Monache, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Porterville Panthers on Monday. For the Marauders, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.
Monache had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 9-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-18.
London Haynes paced Monache's offense, picking up 17 kills. Haynes got some help from Jaylee Alvarico and her 24 assists. Emmaline Anderson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Despite the loss, Porterville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Vivian Dolan had 13 digs and eight aces. Those eight aces set a new season-high mark for Dolan.
Monache's win bumped their record up to 12-13-1. As for Porterville, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 23-6.
