Basketball Game Preview: Portsmouth Clippers vs. Salem Blue Devils

The Portsmouth Clippers will face off against the Salem Blue Devils on Wednesday. Portsmouth knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Salem likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Portsmouth didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Goffstown, but they still walked away with a 67-63 win.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Salem). They blew past Timberlane, posting a 90-59 victory. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Owls recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Portsmouth's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. As for Salem, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Everything came up roses for Portsmouth against Salem in their previous meeting back in February, as the squad secured an 80-43 victory. Does Portsmouth have another victory up their sleeve, or will Salem turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
