Basketball Game Preview: DASH United vs. Rocky Mount Academy Eagles

The DASH United just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Rocky Mount Academy Eagles at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. DASH is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.4 points per game this season.

DASH got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They blew past FAITH Homeschool 78-37. Given the United's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Warriors are ranked 496th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stephen Edwards produced another solid effort putting up 22 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jason Judd, who posted 14 points.

Meanwhile, Rocky Mount Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 53-33 to Arendell Parrott Academy.

DASH's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Rocky Mount Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

DASH lost to Rocky Mount Academy on the road by a decisive 55-40 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2017. Can the United avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
