Basketball Recap: Racine Park Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Racine Park hadn't done well against Indian Trail recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Racine Park Panthers came out on top against the Indian Trail Hawks by a score of 57-44. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Racine Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addison Betker, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 18 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Betker has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Myasia Bostick was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds.

Racine Park smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.

Racine Park's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-8. As for Indian Trail, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Racine Park has already played their next game (against Racine Horlick), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Indian Trail will venture away from home to square off against Oak Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Creek will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Indian Trail surely won't give up without a fight.
