Softball Recap: Purchase Line Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Victory

Purchase Line came tearing into Tuesday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Homer-Center Wildcats by a score of 13-9. For the Red Dragons, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Alorra Phillips was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Lillian Stauffer also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Purchase Line kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.

Purchase Line's record is now 12-3. As for Homer-Center, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Purchase Line will have a chance to go back-to-back against Homer-Center: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
