Softball Recap: Northern Bedford County Panthers vs. McConnellsburg Spartans
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northern Bedford County). They put the hurt on the McConnellsburg Spartans with a sharp 13-1 win on Saturday. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.
Mylee Mitchell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 14 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple.
