Baseball Recap: Quapaw Takes a Loss

Quapaw lost against Wyandotte last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Bears by a score of 5-3.

Ayden Bruton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cooper Welch, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Quapaw has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Wyandotte, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Quapaw and Wyandotte will both be playing Arcadia Valley the next time they take the field. The Bears will head out to face the Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
