Football Recap: Fort Lupton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Fort Lupton had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it seven. They were outmatched by the Brush Beetdiggers and fell 54-15. The Bluedevils lost against the Beetdiggers in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 21-14 score last time.

Despite the loss, Fort Lupton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ilian Tovar picked up 160 receiving yards and one score.

As for Brush, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points on average this season.

Ritchie Bruno continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 177 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Krob, who rushed for 21 yards and a pair of TDs.

Looking ahead, Fort Lupton will welcome Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brush, they will head out to square off against Weld Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
