Neshannock put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Shenango Wildcats with a sharp 6-0 victory. Give the Lancers' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Addy Frye was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaidon Nogay, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Miley Anderson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Neshannock pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Shenango, they moved to 5-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
