Soccer Game Preview: Stewarts Creek vs. Smyrna

The Stewarts Creek Red Hawks will challenge the Smyrna Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Stewarts Creek is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering LaVergne just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Thursday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The result kept Stewarts Creek happy, as they haven't lost a game since March 6th.

George Guirges and Keyber Caldera scored both of Stewarts Creek's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Smyrna was not quite Lebanon's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Blue Devils. Smyrna have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stewarts Creek's draw makes their record 7-1-1 this season. As for Smyrna, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3-1.

Stewarts Creek was able to grind out a solid victory over Smyrna when the teams last played back in March, winning 2-0. Do the Red Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
