Basketball Recap: East Providence Falls Short Against Ranked Barrington

On Monday, East Providence faced Barrington in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The East Providence Townies took a 66-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barrington Eagles. The Townies haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

East Providence's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Barrington, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

East Providence didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-34 win against Johnston on the 12th. As for Barrington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-54 victory against Lincoln on the 12th.
