Baseball Recap: Hodgdon Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Hodgdon duked it out with Madawaska on Wednesday. The Hawks took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Owls. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Owls apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Hodgdon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Gaddis, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Hodgdon and nudges their season record down to 8-5. As for Madawaska, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hodgdon beat the Owls by a score of 2-1 later that day.
