Football Game Preview: Curtis Warriors vs. Tottenville Pirates

The Curtis Warriors will square off against the Tottenville Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Curtis 9.4, Tottenville 14.9) so any points scored will be well earned.

Curtis took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They strolled past DeWitt Clinton with points to spare, taking the game 27-8. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Governors are ranked 318th).

Meanwhile, Tottenville strolled into their game on Sunday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Kennedy 42-8. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Curtis' victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Tottenville, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.

Curtis strolled past Tottenville when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a score of 24-7. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
