Basketball Game Preview: Evergreen Plainsmen vs. Mountain View Thunder

The Evergreen Plainsmen will challenge the Mountain View Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Evergreen turned things around against Heritage on Tuesday. They skirted past the Timberwolves 64-62. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Plainsmen have posted since December 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, Mountain View was able to grind out a solid win over Kelso on Tuesday, taking the game 55-42. Given the Thunder's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Hilanders are ranked 228th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Evergreen's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-12. As for Mountain View, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
