Baseball Recap: Upper Perkiomen Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Upper Perkiomen won against Methacton on Monday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Indians' pitcher stepped up to hand the Phoenixville Phantoms a 5-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2025.

Not much got past Grayson Sabo, who gave up just two hits to keep Phoenixville off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Benjamin Sands, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Cole Graf, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

The victory made it two in a row for Upper Perkiomen and bumps their season record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Phoenixville, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Upper Perkiomen is set to challenge their familiar foe Perkiomen Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Phoenixville will face off against rival Pottstown at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
