Recap: Brookfield Central Lancers vs. Hamilton Chargers
The Brookfield Central Lancers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 57-34 walloping at the hands of Hamilton. While losing is never fun, Brookfield Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Chargers are ranked 119th).
Brookfield Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Josie Piurkowski, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Dylan Romero was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Brookfield Central dropped their record down to 2-16 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Hamilton, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookfield Central will take on the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hamilton, they will head out on the road to face off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
