Palmyra-Eagle dropped their record down to 4-6 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 20-1 to the Johnson Creek Bluejays. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Palmyra-Eagle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Briahna Covarrubias, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

As for Johnson Creek, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Johnson Creek's side, Tori Buglass was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Buglass has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

In other batting news, Madi Brigowatz was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Libby Burbach was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.

While Palmyra-Eagle had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
