 The Mountain View Academy Mustangs suffered their biggest  loss yet this season on Monday. They were beaten by KIPP San Jose Collegiate 84-36. Mountain View Academy has struggled against KIPP San Jose Collegiate recently, as their  game on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
 Despite the  defeat, Mountain View Academy saw an underclassman step up:  Daniel Malo  scored 12 points.
 KIPP San Jose Collegiate was led to victory by  Mathew Huynh and  Christian Ademe-Johnson.  Huynh  scored 14 points along with four  steals, while  Ademe-Johnson  scored 17 points along with five  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jonathan Mendoza, who  scored 12 points along with four  steals.
 Mountain View Academy has  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost four of their last five matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for KIPP San Jose Collegiate, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.
 Mountain View Academy won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against East Palo Alto Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on January 16th.
