After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Athens Christian, Johnson was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past the West Hall Spartans 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Johnson who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 11-25, 15-13.

Johnson's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-20. As for West Hall, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-20.

Coincidentally, Johnson and West Hall will both be playing East Hall the next time they take the court. The Spartans will head out to face the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
