Basketball Game Preview: Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack vs. Colonial Christian Patriots

The Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack will face off against the Colonial Christian Patriots on Thursday. Schoolhouse Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Colonial Christian likes a good challenge.

Last Thursday, Schoolhouse Prep took their matchup with ease, bagging a 65-31 win over North Broward Prep. The Wolfpack have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Schoolhouse Prep found their leader in sophomore Lya Gonzalez, who dropped a triple-double on 30 points, 11 boards, and ten assists. Gonzalez's evening made it 19 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aura Bingham, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Colonial Christian entered their game against Mater Bay Academy on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Colonial Christian took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mater Bay Academy.

Schoolhouse Prep pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.2 points. As for Colonial Christian, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-5.
