Baseball Game Preview: Raleigh Lions vs. Mendenhall Tigers

Raleigh is 0-5 against Mendenhall since March of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Lions will challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Raleigh has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Raleigh is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They came up short against St. Andrew's Episcopal, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, Mendenhall unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Quitman by a score of 5-4.

Raleigh's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Mendenhall, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Raleigh might still be hurting after the 17-6 loss they got from Mendenhall in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
