Basketball Game Preview: Herlong Vikings vs. Burney Raiders

The Herlong Vikings and the Burney Raiders will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 22 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Herlong and six for Burney.

Herlong is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were dealt a 101-49 defeat at the hands of Plumas Charter on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1083rd, while the Warriors are ranked 266th).

Meanwhile, Burney played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Chester, falling 45-21. The contest marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Herlong's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Burney, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
