Soccer Game Preview: Monarch vs. Olympic Heights

The Monarch Knights will face off against the Olympic Heights Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Monarch's offense. They fell just short of Stoneman Douglas by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for Monarch in their meetings with Stoneman Douglas: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Olympic Heights also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell 2-0 to St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday. The shutout was out of character for Olympic Heights seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in November of 2025.

Monarch's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3-4. As for Olympic Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6-2.
