Basketball Recap: Carver Birmingham Takes a Loss

Carver Birmingham extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-9. They took a 65-48 bruising from Ramsay. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Ramsay this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-40 back in November.

As for Ramsay, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Chase Holt was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double with 31 points and ten boards. He has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Marcellous Hall, who posted 15 points and seven rebounds.

Looking ahead, Carver Birmingham will face off against Jackson-Olin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ramsay, they will square off against Ridgeland at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
