Basketball Game Preview: Cave Springs Hornets vs. Gans Grizzlies

Cave Springs and Gans are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Cave Springs Hornets will take on the Gans Grizzlies in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Monday at. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Cave Springs easily dispatched Arkoma on Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Cave Springs fell just short of Webbers Falls by a score of 55-52 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Hornets have suffered since January 20th.

Meanwhile, Gans was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Liberty and fell 67-11.

Gans' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cave Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Cave Springs suffered a grim 57-35 defeat to Gans when the teams last played back in February. Can Cave Springs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
