Basketball Recap: Cedar Key Takes a Loss

Cedar Key was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 50-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Countryside Christian Minutemen. The Sharks were probably out for revenge after losing 45-35 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cedar Key's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Countryside Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-5.

Cedar Key didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-26 loss against First Christian on the 27th. As for Countryside Christian, they will take on Impact Christian Academy in a tournament on Thursday. Impact Christian Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Countryside Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
