Soccer Game Preview: Wilson vs. Rowland

Wilson and Rowland are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but likely not for long. The Wilson Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rowland Raiders at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilson will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Wilson made easy work of Northview and carried off a 4-1 victory. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Rowland was not quite West Covina's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for the Raiders seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

Rowland dropped their record down to 4-5-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Wilson, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.

Wilson was able to grind out a solid victory over Rowland when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 4-2. Will Wilson repeat their success, or does Rowland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
