Volleyball Recap: Montevallo Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Montevallo was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Sylacauga on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Calera Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Montevallo sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-14, 22-25, 25-14, 13-25, 15-9.

Montevallo dropped their record down to 14-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Calera, they moved to 3-11 with that win, which also ended their six-match losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montevallo will face off against Jemison at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calera, they will square off against Benjamin Russell at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
