Basketball Recap: O'fallon's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Normal Community typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday O'Fallon proved too difficult a challenge. They enjoyed a cozy 63-47 victory over the Normal Community Ironmen. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

O'Fallon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Haeli Tart, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Tart has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Josie Christopher, who went 6 of 8 en route to 16 points.

O'Fallon is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Normal Community, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-4.

O'Fallon will take on Belleville West at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Normal Community, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-11 victory against Centennial on the 14th.
