McAuley Catholic piles up the points against Golden City

Even though the McAuley Catholic Warriors have not done well against the Golden City Eagles recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. McAuley Catholic breezed by Golden City on the road to the tune of 56-28. The win made it back-to-back wins for McAuley Catholic.

Despite the loss, Golden City saw an underclassman step up: Spencer Parrill scored 12 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 42.9% of Golden City's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

McAuley Catholic's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Golden City, they dropped their record down to 3-19 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

McAuley Catholic will take on College Heights Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Golden City, they will head out on the road to square off against Wheaton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Golden City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
