Volleyball Recap: St. George's Takes a Loss

St. George was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Houston Mustangs. The Gryphons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

Among those leading the charge was Melody McCloskey, who had nine digs and two aces.

St. George's now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Houston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, St. George's will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against DeSoto Central at 6:00 p.m. As for Houston, they will welcome St. Mary's Episcopal at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
