Basketball Recap: Boyd Anderson Takes a Loss

Boyd Anderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 46-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Taravella Trojans. The Cobras were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Boyd Anderson lost, don't look at Amariah Tomlinson. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Tomlinson a new career-high in points. Garnia Beauvais was another key player, putting up four points and 13 boards.

Even though they lost, Boyd Anderson was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Boyd Anderson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Taravella, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Boyd Anderson has already played their next matchup (against Deerfield Beach), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Taravella has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against West Broward.
