Volleyball Recap: Merrill Comes Up Short

Merrill had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Somerset Spartans by a score of 2-1.

Grace Reimann paced Merrill's offense, picking up seven kills. Reimann got some help from Kaela Clerveaux and her 12 assists. Clerveaux was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

The win got Somerset back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Merrill and Somerset will both be playing Cameron the next time they take the court. The Bluejays will head out to face the Comets at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, while the Spartans will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
