Baseball Recap: Madawaska Owls vs. Washburn Beavers
Madawaska came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Washburn Beavers, falling 10-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Owls have suffered since May 15, 2024.
Matt Ayotte put in work while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Ayotte was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Isaac Beaulieu made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
