Basketball Recap: Belle Fourche Comes Up Short

If Belle Fourche was riding high fresh off their 51-28 takedown of Hot Springs last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Belle Fourche Broncs took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers on Thursday. The Broncs haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Belle Fourche's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Mobridge-Pollock, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Belle Fourche is taking a road trip to square off against Custer at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Custer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for Mobridge-Pollock, they will face off against Todd County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Mobridge-Pollock's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Todd County has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
