Soccer Game Preview: Carson vs. Bishop Manogue

The Carson Senators will venture away from home to take on the Bishop Manogue Miners at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Carson is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Damonte Ranch on Tuesday. The Senators and the Mustangs finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Bishop Manogue faced Galena in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Miners blew past the Grizzlies 4-1. Bishop Manogue might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by three goals or more this season.

Bishop Manogue is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 10-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those nine matchups. With that draw, Carson's record moves to 8-7-1.

Carson beat Bishop Manogue 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Senators since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
