Baseball Recap: Aragon Comes Up Short

Aragon extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 5-11 in the process. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodside Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Tuesday.

Aragon saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Henderson, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

As for Woodside, they now have a winning record of 8-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.

On Woodside's side, Joseph Hohl spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. Hohl has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mateus Mokhtarani was excellent, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Cruz Torres, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Aragon has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against San Mateo on the 22nd. As for Woodside, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 loss against Lowell on the 19th.
