Softball Recap: Hesston Swathers vs. Hillsboro Trojans
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hesston). They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Hillsboro Trojans on Tuesday. The Swathers have beaten the Trojans the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Trojans has come to flipping the script.
Brenlyn Richmond was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
