Wabaunsee entered their tilt with Mission Valley on Saturday with 18 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 19. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Vikings. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory on Tuesday.

Wabaunsee not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Mission Valley between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16.

Wabaunsee found their leader in sophomore Kinsley Michaelis, who had 13 assists and four digs.

Despite the loss, Mission Valley had strong showings from Kaitlyn Coursen, who had 16 digs, and Taylor Brammell, who had 14 assists and seven digs. Brammell has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last nine times she's played.

Wabaunsee's win bumped their record up to 25-5. As for Mission Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-13.

Wabaunsee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against West Franklin on the 11th. As for Mission Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Lyndon on the 11th.
