Baseball Recap: Arp Takes a Loss

Arp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Garrison Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 15-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2019.

Arp saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adan Ponce, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. Another was Eli Ladd, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Arp's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Garrison, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Arp has already played their next matchup, an 8-1 defeat against Shepherd on the 21st. As for Garrison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-1 victory against Kirbyville on the 21st.
