Volleyball Recap: Lake Worth Gets the Win

Lake Worth saw some tournament action on Thursday. They came out on top against the South Hills Scorpions by a score of 2-0.

Breanna Arellano paced Lake Worth's offense, picking up six kills. Arellano got some help from Karina Velez Esteves and her 17 assists. Velez Esteves was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Lake Worth's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for South Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Lake Worth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Sam Houston on the 15th. As for South Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Chisholm Trail on the 15th.
