Excelsior Charter and Big Bear are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Eagles will challenge the Bears at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Samantha Minghelli and Alany Esparza did some serious damage despite the final result: Minghelli scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Esparza scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Destinee Martinez, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Big Bear was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against Academy for Academic Excellence, falling 11-1. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Jordan Gilligan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Excelsior Charter now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Big Bear, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Excelsior Charter hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .365. However, it's not like Big Bear struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
