Baseball Recap: Dora Takes a Loss

Dora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Gateway Christian Warriors, falling 14-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 17-1 defeat on Monday.

Dora saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Jasso, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Dora's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Gateway Christian, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Dora will face off against Elida at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Gateway Christian, they will square off against Floyd at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.25 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
