Recap: West Carrollton Pirates vs. Beaver Bobcats
The West Carrollton Pirates pushed their score all the way to 59 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beaver.
It was another big night for Brady Mayo, who scored 28 points along with six rebounds and five steals for Beaver. That makes it six consecutive games in which Mayo has scored at least 25% of Beaver's points. Ty Butler was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
West Carrollton's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Beaver, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Carrollton will take on Tippecanoe at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Tippecanoe will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Beaver, they will head out on the road to face off against Hopewell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Hopewell is ranked 287th, while Beaver is ranked 295th).
