Basketball Game Preview: Mangham Dragons vs. Rayville Hornets

The Mangham Dragons will venture away from home to face off against the Rayville Hornets on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Rayville will be up against a hot Mangham team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Mangham took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 53-22 win over Madison. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rayville). They blew past Beekman Charter 64-25 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Hornets considering their 25-point performance the match before.

Mangham's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Rayville, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9.

Everything went Mangham's way against Rayville when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as Mangham made off with a 40-17 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mangham since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
