Basketball Game Preview: Field Falcons vs. Norton Panthers

Field is 1-9 against Norton since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Field Falcons will challenge the Norton Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Field is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Woodridge on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Field lost 76-53 to Woodridge. The Falcons were down 65-31 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Norton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 56-52 to Ravenna.

Field's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Norton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Field came up short against Norton in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 64-52. Can Field avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
