Dexter extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-9. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bosque Bobcats. If the Demons were looking for revenge after losing 12-6 to the Bobcats when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Julian Sepulveda made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and three runs. Dexter is 2-1 when Sepulveda posts two or more runs, but 2-8 otherwise. Felipe Rangel was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
As for Bosque, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games.
On Bosque's side, Drew Hebert made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Hebert has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aiden Carranza, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Gray Patton, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Looking ahead, Dexter will be playing at home against Ruidoso at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bosque, they will challenge New Mexico Military Institute at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colts have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
