Softball Recap: Port Huron Finds Home Field Redemption Against New Haven

There's no place like home for Port Huron, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the New Haven Rockets on Tuesday. The Red Hawks haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Port Huron got a great performance from Keila Walker as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Eliana Arnold, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Delanie Tacie, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The win got Port Huron back to even at 9-9. As for New Haven, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port Huron will host Port Huron Northern at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Haven, they will be playing at home against Memphis at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
