Basketball Recap: Zionsville's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Zionsville won the last time they faced Harrison, and Emma Tinder did her part to make sure it happened again. The Zionsville Eagles came out on top against the Harrison Raiders by a score of 45-35 on Wednesday thanks in part to Tinder, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 16 points in addition to six boards and three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Despite the loss, Harrison still got an impressive performance from Elsie Ahnert, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Ahnert, who posted nine points.

Zionsville's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for Harrison, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Zionsville and Harrison could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. Zionsville (ranked 83rd) will meet Noblesville (ranked sixth) at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th. Meanwhile, Harrison (ranked 197th) will meet Valparaiso (ranked 43rd) at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
